Female bosses more tolerant of social media behaviour

Talk about conflicting messages. Last month a study was released that said female bosses are turning into the new workplace bullies. Now another study has been released that says women are more tolerant of staff checking Facebook or doing personal chores during office hours provided work is completed as assigned and on time.
The study was carried out by UK phone carrier Vodafone UK, who we assume wants the British to update their Facebook via their phones.
It was found that male bosses are less tolerant of employees updating Facebook, twitter or online shopping.
Vodafone UK’s Peter Kelly says in a release, “It confirms that we are seeing the end of the traditional 9-5 office working pattern. A new generation of workers is coming through the ranks. They prefer fitting work around their lives rather than the other way around.”
