[Video] What is your greatest weakness?

It’s one of the most common interview questions, and one of the most difficult to answer: “What is your greatest weakness?”
It feels like a trap. If you answer honestly, you’re admitting to something that could potentially turn off an employer. If you say “I have no weaknesses. I am perfect,” the employer will know you are either a liar or totally lacking in self awareness, and dismiss you outright. You have to say something.
Bad: “I steal lunches out of the office refrigerator, have anger issues and a drug problem, and am actually quite lazy.”
Good: “I can get frustrated when the product isn’t up to my standards,” or “I could be better at coding.”
The Workopolis 180 video below will give you more insight into how to answer this question. Please send us your career questions and dilemmas at advice@workopolis.com
