So, you know you shouldn’t lie during the job hunt, right? It’s risky and it’s bad strategy.

But people do it anyway, and thanks to The Grindstone, we found this infographic created by BackgroundChecks.org that outlines the most common lies people get caught telling as well as some other interesting facts. Like the fact the only 51% of employers will dismiss you outright because of a lie, while 40% say it would depend on what the lie was about, and 7% said they’d be willing to overlook a lie if they liked the candidate.

So, maybe it is worth it. What do I know?

Also, men lie twice as much as women.
